About Me

I am passionate about all things wordy.

I have a PhD in history and two MA degrees (Gender History; Philosophy), from the University of London. My doctoral thesis was on the history of reading. I have taught in universities, published literary reviews, and carried out research for the BBC.

I also write, publish and perform poems and other creative pieces regularly. I blog on my creative process at pollybull.org. In 2021 my first poetry pamphlet was published entitled Outside In. It is available to purchase from Wordville and all book retailers.

I am non-binary and my pronouns are they/them.

Happily living in North London, I love music, film, art, theatre, running and spending as much time as possible with my nearest and dearest, especially my cat, Orlando.
